This Refund & Cancellation Policy clearly explains how cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, advance payments, and driver cancellations are handled. It ensures fairness for both passengers and drivers.
By booking a trip with Cab24x7, you agree to the terms listed below.
1. General Cancellation Rules
Customer can cancel or modify the booking anytime before the trip begins.
All cancellations must be communicated by:
Phone call
Website request
Booking platform message
Refund eligibility depends on:
How early the cancellation is done
Whether the driver has started travelling
Whether the driver has reached the pickup point
Vehicle type and peak-season conditions
2. Customer-Initiated Ride Cancellation
Below are the standard cancellation charges applicable to most local and outstation trips:
A. Cancellation BEFORE Driver Assigned
100% Refund of advance payment
No cancellation fees
B. Cancellation AFTER Driver Assigned but BEFORE Start
0–3 hours before pickup: 25% of total fare or ?200 (whichever is higher)
3+ hours before pickup: No cancellation charge
C. Cancellation AFTER Driver Starts Towards Pickup
If the driver has begun traveling to the pickup location:
50% cancellation charge or actual driver travel cost to your pickup (whichever is higher)
D. Cancellation AFTER Driver Reaches Pickup Place
If the driver arrives and the passenger cancels or is unavailable:
100% cancellation charge
Waiting charges (if any) are also applicable
3. No-Show Policy
A No-Show is when:
Customer is not available at pickup location
Phone is switched off or not reachable
Customer delays beyond agreed waiting time
Customer refuses to travel after vehicle arrival
In No-Show situations → No refund is issued.
4. Refund Policy
Refunds are processed when:
Cab24x7 cancels the ride
Customer cancels as per refund-eligible time
Duplicate payment received
Wrong amount debited due to technical issue
Refund Processing Timelines
UPI / Wallets: 1–2 working days
Bank Transfers: 2–5 working days
Credit/Debit Cards: 5–7 working days
Refunds are always made to the original payment method.
5. Driver-Initiated Cancellation
We try our best to avoid this, but sometimes a driver may cancel due to:
Medical emergency
Vehicle breakdown
Traffic blockage
Unforeseen circumstances
Customer gets 100% refund of advance payment
Replacement cab is provided whenever possible
No cancellation fee is charged
6. Rescheduling Policy
Customers may request rescheduling for:
Pickup time
Pickup or drop location
Vehicle category
Rescheduling is subject to driver availability.
If availability is not possible, normal cancellation rules apply.
7. Special Terms for Peak Seasons & Festive Days
During high-demand periods such as:
Diwali
Navratri
Summer vacation
Long weekends
Wedding season
Advance payments may be non-refundable or partially refundable.
This will be clearly informed at the time of booking.
8. Outstation Trip Cancellation Terms
For long routes requiring full-day or multi-day bookings:
48+ hours before trip: Full refund
24–48 hours before trip: 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before trip: No refund
After the vehicle reaches pickup → Full cancellation charge applies
Driver daily allowance (DA) may also be chargeable if driver has already started the journey.
9. Airport Pick-up & Drop Cancellation Policy
Airport bookings are time-sensitive.
Hence, the following rules apply:
More than 2 hours before pickup: ?0 cancellation charge
Within 2 hours: 50% cancellation fee
Driver arrived at airport: No refund
Parking or tolls already paid by the driver will be charged additionally.
10. Conditions Where Refund Is NOT Applicable
Refund will not be issued in the following cases:
Wrong address provided by the customer
Customer booked the wrong date/time
Customer was intoxicated or misbehaving
Illegal activity by customer
Customer forced unsafe driving
Driver refused service due to safety concerns
Customer changed route drastically without informing
11. Vehicle Breakdown Situations
If the cab breaks down during the trip:
No cancellation fee
Replacement vehicle arranged (subject to availability)
No extra charge to the passenger
If a breakdown occurs before pickup:
Customer can cancel and receive full refund
12. Payment-Related Cancellations
If the customer does not pay the advance amount:
Booking may be auto-cancelled
No refund will be issued
Cab24x7 is not responsible for unreserved vehicles
13. Force Majeure Clause
Cab24x7 is not responsible for cancellations due to:
Natural disasters
Floods
Curfew
Strikes
Road closure
Accidents
Government restrictions
Refunds will be based on the situation and driver expenses.
